How to get started in bambino karting

Getting started in Karting can be a little daunting, you might not be sure where to go, what to do, or even where to look to get information. This is especially so when your child is under 8 as far fewer tracks cater for them, though many do.

Most Kart tracks that have large grids and onsite facilities are on the Alpha Timing app, well worth a download to take a look. Most people in Karting travel in excess of 1-2 hours for a race day unless they are lucky enough to live nearer to a track so don’t be afraid to take a trip somewhere.

If you want to get your under 8 involved in bambino karting I can’t recommend Rookie Racing enough. They have races in Wombwell (nr Barnsley), and Fulbeck Kart Club/PFI in Lincolnshire. I’m sure there are lots of others, coaches, tracks and places but to get involved and get started you’ll find its worth a trip. There is nothing like doing it to get your child to improve so keep coming and if they like it buy a kart. After a couple of sessions you’ll get talking to others and find out about other tracks to get to.
